Newsletter consent

By subscribing to the newsletter, I give my consent for Würth Elektronik GmbH & Co. KG to keep me informed of its new products, events and seminars by email via the email address provided and to process my personal data for this purpose. The email newsletter is tailored to the country provided by me and is sent monthly or every 2 months, depending on the country.

I can withdraw my consent for receiving the newsletter and processing my personal data and therefore unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. Consent can be withdrawn via the link found in every newsletter, in writing to Würth Elektronik GmbH & Co. KG, Salzstraße 21, 74676 Niedernhall, Germany or by email to info@wedirekt.de.

With your consent, Würth Elektronik GmbH & Co. KG processes the personal data provided in the form to keep you informed of Würth Elektronik GmbH & Co. KG products, events and seminars via an email newsletter. It is essential that you provide your email address and your country so that the right newsletter for you can be selected and sent.

The legal basis for this processing (of compulsory data) is point a) of Article 6(1) GDPR (the data subject’s consent). You can withdraw the consent you have given at any time via the link found in every newsletter, in writing to Würth Elektronik GmbH & Co. KG, Salzstraße 21, 74676 Niedernhall, Germany or by email to info@wedirekt.de. Data provided by you voluntarily is processed on the basis of point f) of Article 6(1) GDPR. In accordance with this, processing is permitted if it is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests. We have legitimate interests in handling your query easily, efficiently and quickly and in being able to contact you directly. If you do not wish us to do so, leave the optional fields marked with an asterisk empty.

We use the so-called double opt-in method for subscription to our newsletter. This means that after you have subscribed, we send you, via the email address provided, an email asking for confirmation that you wish us to send you the newsletter. If you have not confirmed your subscription within 14 days, your information will be erased automatically. Besides this, we also store the IP addresses used and the times/dates of subscription and confirmation. The purpose of this procedure is to verify your subscription and, if necessary, to enable us to resolve any possible misuse of your personal data.

The email newsletter is sent by marmato GmbH, Wilhelmstraße 4, 70182 Stuttgart, Germany ("marmato") on our behalf. Marmato is a service that can be used to organise and analyse the sending of newsletters, among other things. We share the data that you have entered into the form for the email newsletter with marmato for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The data is stored on marmato’s servers in Germany. Marmato therefore acts as a processor on our behalf in accordance with Article 28 GDPR.

We would advise that we analyse your user behaviour when sending the newsletter. For the purpose of this analysis, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are 1x1 pixel graphic files that are stored by our service provider, marmato. For the purpose of these analyses, the data specified in Section 3.a of our privacy policy (accessible via data protection) and the web beacons are assigned to your email address and an individual ID. This enables us to see whether a newsletter email has been opened. Using marmato, we can also see if links in the newsletter email have been clicked on and, if so, which ones. All links in the email are so-called tracking links, which enable your clicks to be counted. Only forms of data that are IDs, i.e. that are not associated with your other personal data, are collected in pseudonymised form. This prevents it being traced back directly to a person.

The legal basis for the use of the tracking method is point f) of Article 6(1)(1) EU GDPR, which allows the processing of personal data for the purposes of our legitimate interests, provided that your fundamental rights, fundamental freedoms or interests are not overriding. We have a legitimate interest in analysing use of our email newsletter and in being able to constantly improve the newsletter. It cannot be traced back to you personally.

The data we collect is stored for as long as necessary to send the newsletter.

Supplementary data protection provisions, particularly regarding your rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, object and lodge a complaint can be accessed via data protection.
